Job profile

As Business Intelligence Consultant, your contribution will focus on improving the management of organisations. You are responsible for analysing business processes and translating them into a concrete, consistent and reliable information provision. The starting point is the customer's (information) needs. In addition, you will design, develop and implement concrete solutions such as management dashboards and reports, ad-hoc reporting and analysis systems for the management at all levels of the organisation. The BI Consultant bridges the gap between organisational management issues, on the one hand, and BI concepts, technologies and tools that are used to improve the management of organisations through reporting and behavioural changes of the management, on the other.

What we are looking for

  • Enterprising and ambitious consultant with with HBO-level (Higher Professional Education) or WO-level (Scientific Education) education and a background in (Operational) Information Science or Business Administration;
  • Three or more years experience with Business Intelligence projects;
  • Good command of BI tools like Microsoft, Cognos, Business Objects, Hyperion or Microstrategy;
  • Familiarity with interview and workshop techniques, Balanced Scorecard and Performance Management;
  • Well-developed communication and social skills;
  • Analytical capabilities and a proactive approach;
  • You are able to communicate the advantages of a Data Warehouse and of correct and timely management information;
  • You have sufficient consulting experience to be able to disentangle business processes, but also have the knowledge and experience that is needed to structure the architecture of a reporting environment soundly and technically perfect.
